My Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Collection

Hey all!!

Today we're talking about one of my all time favourite eye shadow formulas!

To get right to the point, MUFE's Artist Shadows are worth every penny (even if we don't have pennies anymore!!) of their $24 dollar price tag!

They are a super creamy, and dense/thick formula. They feel like a siliconey based formula if that gives you an idea as to their dense formula!!

I have oily, severely hooded eyes. and over top of my usual set eye primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance, set with a matte cream shadow!) they do not crease, fade, or get muddy, by the end of the day! (I usually put my makeup on at 10am and take it off at 12am! just as a time frame for y'all!) The metallic/glittery ones DO transfer up onto my hood though!!

I own 5 of the finishes (I'm pretty sure they ONLY offer 5 finishes though!), ME, I, D, S, and M! D and ME are my favourites of the finishes as well.

These are amazingly easy to blend out! I'v always struggled with getting a smooth and even blend, and these are not an issue for me at all. I just do little circles in windshield wiper motions and they're blended out in no time with very little effort!

Here is all of my shadows, I own one of the artist palettes (#1) and then 6 of the full sized shadows!

Summer skincare routine

Hello friends!

I figured it was time for an updated skincare routine post for summer!

Morning:

First thing in the morning, I swipe some cleansing water all over my face to remove last nights skincare, and the buildup of oil.

I follow up with massaging a light, gel moisturizer into my skin. I'm currently using Avon Nutraeffects Hydragel-cream.

After the gel moisturizer has sunken in, I'll tap two layers of Clinique Repairwear Eye cream under my eyes.

After the eye cream has sunken in, I apply two layers of SPF. I'm currently switching between Coppertone Clearly Sheer Face SPF50, and Paula's Choice Extra Care Non Greasy SPF50.

Night:

At night I'll start by removing my makeup by massaging Ponds Cold Cream into my face and eye lids, then I take a clean, damp washcloth and remove my makeup.

In the summer, I like a foaming face wash. I like The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright and The Face Shops Herb Day Lemon Cleansing foams!

After I cleanse my face, I pat dry with a fluffy towel, and smooth and pat some Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid all over my face,

Once my face isn't tacky anymore from the BHA, I'll smooth some of my Tactupump Forte all over my face.

Once that has set, I'll pour out a dime sized amount of Bio Oil, and I'll pat that into my face.

Then I tap some Avon Ultimate Eye cream under my eyes!!

Masks:

In the summer I like a nice clay mask, and I'v been using Freeman's "deep cleaning. Manuka honey and tea tree" clay mask every 3 days!

I also use Origins Retexturizing Rose mask, once a week for a good exfoliation.

And I like to do Avon's Rose Hydrating mask after days at the beach, or when my skin is feeling a lil tight!

And that's it!! What do you change in your routine when the warm weather hits?

Empties pt.2

Hello all!!

Today we're going to take a quick look at my garbage! aka it's empties time!

Since the last empties post, I'v finished:

ELF Nourishing Night cream - This wasn't moisturizing enough to be a night cream for me, especially because I used this mostly mid Canadian winter. But it was PERFECT for under my makeup during the day!! I would definitely repurchase!

ELF Mist and Set - I liked this to get rid of a powdery look when I would pack on the powder. I hated how little was in the bottle though!! May Repurchase.

Garnier Overnight Peel - This was my first time trying a chemical exfoliant. And it really did help with my acne scarring, as long as I used it every night, and used SPF every day! I'v moved onto a better chemical exfoliater!

Marcelle Tonifying Lotion - This is my favourite toner!! It's non drying, and non irritating!! And it balanced my skin and removed any excess makeup. Perfect!

Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Mattifying Gel Creme - I loved this lightly hydrating gel in the summer months, as it lightly moisturized, didn't feel heavy or sticky. And sunk right into my skin!

MAC Waterproof Brow Set - This is my holy grail brow gel!! It's pigmented enough that I can just use this to fill in my brows on quick makeup days. It doesn't have extreme hold. But it would hold my long, thick brows in place! I will miss this until I can afford the $21 for it again!

The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick - I received a sample of this pore filling primer. And then purchased the full size!! It's a silicone based stick primer, that I loved to swipe, blend, and go with. But I'v found cheaper primers I like!

Clinique High Impact Mascara - I loved this mascara when it was fresh, it was a thick formula, but not goopy. It gave me amazing lashes that didn't flake, or smear!

Clinique DDML+ - I loved this lotion at night. It was nourishing and hydrating and kept my skin from faking. I would strongly consider buying another tube/bottle

ELF Tone Adjusting Face Primer - I went through a phase where I was obsessed with green primers, and this was apart of that phase. It was a silicone based lightly green tinted primer. I liked it. But it didn't WOW me to death!

That's all my empties for now, I hope you enjoyed looking through my garbage!!

Favourites of the month - April

We survived another month, friends! Happy last day of April!

I'm excited for May, I have a Convention at the end of the month, I'm another month closer to my out of province trip, and It's getting closer to summer!

Here's what i'v been loving in the month of April!

Favourites of the month:

Wet n Wild Precious Petals Megaglo Highlighter. - I love this!! If built up, it's too dark for me in my opinion. But I love to build it up and get a bronzed/rose gold glow!!

LUSH's Chocolate Lip Scrub - I bought this as a pick me up. And it's amazing!! I haven't had tight or dry lips since I started using this every morning/night on top of my usual lip balm routine!

Too Faced Peanut butter and Jelly palette - I'v used this every day since I bought it in the States two weeks ago! It's amazing, and smooth, and pigmented!!

Clinique Chubby stick in Heftiest Hibiscus - I wrote a review of this a few days ago so please go check that out if you want more info!!

Annabelle Brow to Go Kit - I'm on my third compact of this. It's amazing! I use the dark cooler brown in my brows. And when set with gel it lasts all day long!

Tarte Shape Tape - I could write so much about this concealer. first off, PLEASE don't use this the way you see "youtubers" use it. I literally only use three taps of it under my eyes and blend that out and i'm good to go! It lasts all day, and creased the least i'v ever found!

MAC Set powder - I'v been using this powder every single day to set my face since December. And I'm just now getting low!! it has a whopping 30g of powder in here, and it works so well to lock in my foundation/concealer.

Shiseido Sunblock - I have two delux sample sized tubes of Shiseido's sunblock. One is the wet skin one, and the other is the enviromental protection one. I love them both! They sink in quickly, aren't greasy,  haven't broken me out, and keep me protected!

ELF Highlighting Brush - I use this as my undereye setting brush. It's the perfect shape to roll powder under my eyes to set.

ELF Foundation Blurring Brush - This brush is AMAZING for tapping in foundation!! it's rounded and dense. So it works well for spreading out foundation, and for maintaining coverage. It's easy to clean, and doesn't shed.

Benefit Dandelion and Bella Bamba Blushes Review

Hello friends!! Today we're going to be chatting about one of my all time favourite blushes, and one that I'm neutral on.

I was given four samples of Benefits popular boxed blushes. Coralista (which I'v finished! It has like the edges left in the pan!), Hoola (which I gave away to my best friend), Dandelion, and Bella Bamba!

Here's a swatch and review of the two I have left!

Dandelion is a light, baby pink with silver shimmer throughout it lightly.

Bella Bamba is a watermelon pink with a silvery sheen and shimmer.

The top is 3 swipes of Dandelion, and the bottom is one swipe of Bella Bamba.

I'm a massive fan of Bella Bamba, it's such a beautiful bright pink on my warm, light medium skin. It's effortless in the summer!!

I'm pretty neutral on Dandelion to be honest. It's sheer, and doesn't build up well. And barely shows up, even on my current light skin. It's also a touch powdery!

Overall: I'm GUTTED that Bella Bamba has been DC. I'm using her sparingly until I can find a good dupe!!

Facing irrational fears - Clinique Chubby Stick Intense (Heftiest Hibiscus) Review/FOTD

Goooood morning!

Today we're going to talk about irrational fears, and lipstick. So the usual haha!

I have worn Brown,Red,Purple,Pink,Nude, Hell, even Navy Blue lipstick before. But I am TERRIFIED of Orange lipstick.

I was told as a young preteen by a women working the counter at my local Shoppers, that my skin is too warm/red for orange lipstick. And as you all know I assume, these things stick with you.

I'v since realized, that with my beautiful warm skintone. I look pretty darn great with orange/coral lipstick, so this is a challenge to myself!

I have a full sized tube of Heftiest Hibiscus! The packaging is lovely in my opinion. It's 100% purse friendly. I'v never had the cap pop off in mine.

Here is a swatch of the lipstick. It's a very strongly orange leaning coral. I say coral because there is a TOUCH of pink in there.

It's creamy, soft, and smooth. It applies to the lips with ease. It's not so soft It will break as you're applying, nor will it slip right off your lips. It has a sheen/creamy finish to it.

Mine was in my pocket for a long day. And it got too warm and broke off the base. So now I just have to be very careful when applying. I say this as a warning to others!

Here I am wearing Heftiest Hibiscus. I have one medium layer on in these photos. I adore to pair this with a warm blush, or shimmery bronzer/blush. I think that just looks so warm and summery.

Overall: If you like a warm, orange lipstick I'd highly recommend this chubby stick! It's easy to use on the go, it's not drying. and lasts!
