Favourites of the month - April

We survived another month, friends! Happy last day of April!

I'm excited for May, I have a Convention at the end of the month, I'm another month closer to my out of province trip, and It's getting closer to summer!

Here's what i'v been loving in the month of April!

Favourites of the month:

Wet n Wild Precious Petals Megaglo Highlighter. - I love this!! If built up, it's too dark for me in my opinion. But I love to build it up and get a bronzed/rose gold glow!!

LUSH's Chocolate Lip Scrub - I bought this as a pick me up. And it's amazing!! I haven't had tight or dry lips since I started using this every morning/night on top of my usual lip balm routine!

Too Faced Peanut butter and Jelly palette - I'v used this every day since I bought it in the States two weeks ago! It's amazing, and smooth, and pigmented!!

Clinique Chubby stick in Heftiest Hibiscus - I wrote a review of this a few days ago so please go check that out if you want more info!!

Annabelle Brow to Go Kit - I'm on my third compact of this. It's amazing! I use the dark cooler brown in my brows. And when set with gel it lasts all day long!

Tarte Shape Tape - I could write so much about this concealer. first off, PLEASE don't use this the way you see "youtubers" use it. I literally only use three taps of it under my eyes and blend that out and i'm good to go! It lasts all day, and creased the least i'v ever found!

MAC Set powder - I'v been using this powder every single day to set my face since December. And I'm just now getting low!! it has a whopping 30g of powder in here, and it works so well to lock in my foundation/concealer.

Shiseido Sunblock - I have two delux sample sized tubes of Shiseido's sunblock. One is the wet skin one, and the other is the enviromental protection one. I love them both! They sink in quickly, aren't greasy,  haven't broken me out, and keep me protected!

ELF Highlighting Brush - I use this as my undereye setting brush. It's the perfect shape to roll powder under my eyes to set.

ELF Foundation Blurring Brush - This brush is AMAZING for tapping in foundation!! it's rounded and dense. So it works well for spreading out foundation, and for maintaining coverage. It's easy to clean, and doesn't shed.

March Faves of the month!

Hey all!! I'm here to share with you my monthly faves for March!!

March was full of skin care, and lots of testing of products for me!! How was your March?

Here's an overview of my favourites:

First up, I'v been LIVING for my "Custom made crease shadow" quad. I took an old MAC empty Quad, and I put clockwise from top left: Colourpop Bel Air, Coastal Scents Barista, Coastal Scents Deep Cider, and MAC Embark! I like to use Bel Air as a transition, Barista and Deep Cider as crease shades, and Embark to deepen the outer V! With this, I just need to choose a single lid shade and I'm good to go!

Am I predictable or WHAT? Yes. I'm STILL digging my Modern Renaissance palette. I even hit pan on Tempera!! I'm still discovering new looks with this, and I'm still very much so happy with this purchase!

I'v been craving warm, sunshine, so I'v been rocking NARS Deep throat a LOT. It's a sheeny warm pink, that I have hit pan on. It's so blendable, smooth and not chalky!

I'v been wearing a lot of highlight too!! I purchased Essence Pure Nude Highlight this month, thanks to Christine @Temptalia. And I'm in LOVE.

I'v also been rocking a lot of blue and green glittery dramatic highlights!! I personally believe any age of women should be able to wear whatever they want, makeup wise. But I figured, Hell, I'm 20 I can rock a glittery green highlight!

I was given a VERY generous sample of Urban Decays Optical Illusion primer when I visited the Urban Decay store at Square One in Toronto, And it's pretty darn great!! It's thick, and creamy. And makes my makeup last all day no problem!

I finished my MAC Waterproof Brow Set, and didn't have enough money to spend $21 and get a new one, so I picked up Essence Make me Brow in the deepest shade. And boy, is my love for this thing rekindled!!!

I also tried out Essence Lash Princess this month, and at first I hated it. It clumped EVERY lash into one uni-lash. And got all over my eyelids. It was rough! But a week in, I started to love it!! It gives me SUPER dramatic lashes in one to two coats, when I usually need 3 to 4 coats!!

I'm also ADORING NYX's Dark Circle Corrector in medium. It's sheerer than i'd prefer, but It's pretty bomb at fixing and correcting the darkness under my eyes and in my inner corners!

Not pictured:

I also have been using Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus "Wrinkle correcting" Eye Cream twice a day, for the past 3 weeks. and BOY are my under eyes thanking me!! I have not fine lines, (I'm 20 for goodness sake!) but my dermatologist calls them, "dehydration lines" under my eyes, and that makes all of my concealers crease instantly. This sinks in, but not too quickly too the point I feel like why bother. But I can still put foundation and concealer over top! My under eyes feel so soft to the touch because of this eye cream!!

Cleansing water!! I'v been using cleansing water to refresh my face, remove last nights skincare, and excess sebum in the morning every morning this month. And my skin is feeling soft! Softer compared to me washing my face every morning anyway!!

What are your favourites for the month of March?

10 Thing's I'm loving

Hello!! Today we're talking about 10 things I'v been loving lately. Either specific products, or a category of things!

I'v been loving this LUSH Rosy Cheeks Face mask, I got it on my birthday, and it's already done. :P It's a nice soothing, non drying mask, that works so well for my oily, but dehydrated skin! I mentioned this product in my monthly favourites!

Elf Nourishing Night Cream. Is pretty amazing!!! I was given this product by ELF. And I thought i'd try it out. And I love it at night, under my facial oil. But I REALLY love it during the day, under my SPF! It's smooth, and silky, and really does moisturize, and doesn't break me out! Praise be it!

Is there a drinking game for every time I mention the Modern Renaissance palette yet? Because DAMN, this palette is GOOD. It's beautifully pigmented, smooth, silky, and all around BEAUTIFUL!

Paula's Choice Skin care! I'v been slowly adding more and more PC to my skin care routine. And my skin has NEVER looked and felt better! I LOVE the Daily Mattifying Fluid for Normal/Oily/Combo skin. It has SPF50. And it really does work as a light moisturizer that doesn't feel heavy! I'll then layer the Extra Care Non Greasy SPF50 Sunscreen on top of the mattifying fluid, to make sure I have enough sun protection. And my all time favourite Paula's Choice Product, is their Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion. It's a chemical exfoliant and it's gotten rid of SO much of my hyper pigmentation, and my acne scarring!! I loves it!

Rose Perfume! My holy grail rose-y perfumes are The Body Shop's Moroccan Rose, And Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Rose! I feel so feminine, and sexy whenever I get a waft of these!

Colourful Highlights! I'm really digging purple, blue, and green highlights lately! My choice has been Colourpop Honeymoon, and Perilune !

I also have been LOVING matte, nude lips! I'v been doing a LOT of dramatic eye looks lately with the MR. So I'v been reaching for more nude/neutral lipsticks!

Bite Beauty Lipsticks! I own one more that's not shown here (The shade Jam, which is a nice dark pueple!) I loved the Luminous creme formula, but I would rub my lips together so much (because the formula is so creamy and smooth!) it would just disappear. So when they came out with the Amuse Bouche formula, I fell even more in love with this canadian brand! The lipsticks are creamy, and moisturizing, and they stain and last!
Expect a review coming up soon!

I'm getting way too ahead of myself, but i'm counting down to spring, and that's when I LOVE to wear shimmery bronzer on my cheeks as blush! It's a nice warm look for me! I love the easy application of this QUO bronzer, and I love the shade!

I'v been LOVING a flawless, full coverage base more so than usual! So I'v been reaching to my recently reviewed L'oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation! I need SO little of this foundation, and I love to use my hands to melt it into my skin!
