Too Faced Shadow Insurance Review - Severely Hooded, Oily Lids.

Hello again friends!!!

Today, we're going to talk about my holiest of holy grail's!!

I have severely hooded, oily lids.

This is my "least" hooded eye. I say that because my eyes are unevenly hooded!! One eye, has a hood that covers all of the lid from the lashline. and the other, is this eye here!

So all day, whenever I blink, or look around, my hood is rubbing against my lids. And thus distroying all of the hard work I did with my eye shadow!

Add in the fact that my eye lids are OIL SLICKS.

NOTHING used to last on my lids. I was lucky if I got ten minutes? of wear.

Until I tried Too Faced Shadow Insurance that is!

TFSI, is a thicker, light beige eye primer. I wont call it clear, because I haven't see how it looks on the deepest of skintones. But I imagine It could get ashy!

I use less than the above amount for both eyes. I take the smallest amount, and pat it from lash line to brow bone. And Because It dries to a tacky finish, I like to set it with my face powder or a matte bone shade to make blending out crease shades easier.

I NEVER get creasing with this product!! Nor do I get fading as well!!

I think this is a god send, for me and my eye shape. I wont say it'll be a miracle product for EVERYONE. But boy is this amazing for me!

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - Medium Deep

Hey all!! How are you today? I'm feeling so pumped and ready to go!

Today I wanted to chat with yall about my second EVER, matte bronzer. I'm 100% a shimmery bronzer gal. I totally prefer them. But I'v been super into bronzing and contouring my jawline lately. So here we are!

This bronzer is pretty light for their "medium/deep" shade. If the packaging didn't say it, I wouldn't believe it!

The powder came with a hard, chalky, layer overtop of it. So I had to scrape it a bit. But after that it became super soft, and easy to pick up on a brush and blend out!!

This is, I think, my perfect bronzer. It blends right into my skin, and adds warmth and subtle definition. I dig it!

There is a very strong cocoa powder scent to the product though!! It smells yummy to me, but I would have preferred they didn't add it.

Too Faced Melted Berry Meltified Lipstick Review

Hey friends!!

Today we're talking about one of my favourite formulas for non matte liquid lipsticks!!

The Too Faced Melted Lips are in my top 5 non matte liquid lipsticks!! I swear they are literal melted lipsticks put into a squeeze tube!

These are not drying, but not hydrating on me. This shade, Melted Berry is opaque in a instant. But can be sheered out, if you apply less onto the lips.

Melted Berry is a bright, Lighter/Non Vampy Berry on me. It brightens up my face, and I swear makes me feel more happy!

The packing is a coloured tube that matches the colour of the lipstick inside, It's very aesthetically pleasing to me. The cap is a twist cap, so it doesn't come off in my bag!

The applicator is a fuzzy round thing, with holes in it that you squeeze the product out through. As you can see it gets pretty darn messy!!

The top is one swipe of Melted Berry. And the bottom is a slightly sheered out swatch.

As you can tell, I REALLY do enjoy this formula, and product!! Next I'll be getting Melted Villon

Price: $25

Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette Review + Three EOTD's

Hello Friends!!

Today i'm going to be showing you all my thoughts on my long awaited PBJ Palette from Too Faced!

This is a Ulta Exclusive palette. And we do NOT have Ulta here in Canada, so I had given up hope of ever getting this beauty of a palette.

But with my recent trip to the States, I knew right away. I HAD to go to Ulta and see this palette!!

And here we are!

This palette is $36 American.

And has 3 matte shades, 1 matte shade with roaming sparkles, 3 metallic shades, and 2 shades that have bigger particles of sparkle than the metallic ones!

It has a very strong cocoa powder scent to it. And as I'v learned about from Temptalia reader, Nancy T, to make the scent, it has a ingredient in it that some people are allergic to! I'v used this palette with zero problems at all. But I wanted to point this out, in case you try it out and you are allergic to it!!

The packaging is a small metal tin, with this cute design on the front. The hinges that open and close the palette feel very loose to me!

I took two pictures of the shadows. One cooler and one warmer. I'd say the bottom one is moe closer to colour accurate!! As you can see, the palette is VERY warm toned overall!

Left swatch is with a finger, right swatch was done with a brush!
From left to right we have:

Extra Creamy - A matte cream shade. Non chalky! I use this to set my eye primer, and to help blend the top of my crease shades if i'v taken it up too high!
Bananas - A metallic yellow golden shade. This makes a beautiful lid shade, as well as a cheek highlight.
Spread the Love - A light peachy shade, with a matte base and a floating sparkle through it. I like to use this as a light transition shade.

Same as above, left was done with a finger, and right was done with a brush.

Peanut Butter - A matte orangey brown. A beautiful crease shade!
Peanut Butter Cup - I think this is my favourite shade in the palette! It's a shimmery golden brown, with larger golden sparkles. I love this blended on the lids!
Peanut Brittle - An orangey metallic copper shade! I like this as a pop under the lower lashline!

Same as before!

Jammin' - A deepened purple, with larger silvery sparkles. This is a very versatile shade!
Jelly - A bright, glowing, metallic purple. Slightly sheer, but builds up nicely.
Nuts about U - A matte orange shade. Lovely in the outer crease!

That's swatches of the shades! I wanted to show off some of the looks i'v made with this Palette as well!

Look #1:

I started off with TFSI from lashline to brow bone, then set that with matte cream Extra Creamy. I then used Spread the Love as a light peachy transition. Next I went in with Peanut Butter and ran that through my crease and up onto my hood. To deepen the crease, I took a small amount of Nuts About U and patted that along the outer corners of my eyes. I patted Peanut Butter Cup onto my mobile lids, then buffed everything out. I took a stiff pencil brush and ran Jelly along my lower lashline. Lastly I added a touch of Bananas to my inner corners!

Look #2:

Same as above, I set my eye primer with Extra Creamy, Used Spread the Love as a transition, Then Peanut Butter and Nuts About U in the crease. I then took a lid brush and patted Jammin' onto my mobile lids and buffed it up to the crease. It loses some intensity after blending so I kept going back and forth with adding more and blending. After I was happy with the blend, I patted Extra Creamy to the brow bones, and used Jammin' on the lower lashline!

Look #3:

Same as above, I set the primer, transitioned, and creased with the same shades. I then took a small flat brush and packed Nuts About U on the outer corners, and inner corners, and lightly blended in the middle. Halo eyes are very back and forth, adding more colour, then blending out. So I did that for a bit. Building up the inner and outer corners and blending. When I was happy I took a clean finger, and patted Bananas on the empty place on my mobile lids! I took my buffing brush and blended the sides of the center. Added Peanut Brittle along my lower lashline, and this last look is done!

Too Faced X Kat Von D Better Together Eyeshadow Pallet Review

Good morning!

I was gifted the eye shadow pallet from the Too FacedxKat Von D collection, and I wanted to get some pictures and swatches up while the pallet is still available!

This is what the pallet looks like from the outside, In my opinion, it's cute! It's made of hard cardboard. That doesn't feel flimsy, but doesn't feel super durable.

Yes, the two halves of the heart DO split apart!

Here is the Too Faced side. This side is all neutrals, and shades I really do like and would use every day!!

From top to bottom we have:

BFF - Matte cream colour. It's very soft and smooth!
Lovely - Matte light pink. It's very sheer, and takes LAYERS to show up on my eyes.
Friendspiration - Metallic Orangey golden shade. Very soft and creamy to the touch!!
Heart of Gold - Light metallic green, very smooth. I patted my eyelid brush to this pan, and had enough pigment to go my while mobile lid without dipping back into the pan!
Power Couple - Matte brown with lots of golden sparkles. This is a DUD. This shadow feels SO HARD. I couldn't pick up anything on my finger, and have to build it up quite a bit in the crease!
Better Together - Satiny/shimmery charcoal with pinky shimmers.

Here is the Kat Von D side! This is personally, my favourite half!! This has *the best* red eye shadow I'v EVER used in it!!

Top to bottom we have:

Yours - This is a dark Grey matte on me. I don't like this colour personally, but it preforms well!!
Devotion - Matte Black. Not the MOST pigmented black in my stash, but not the least pigmented. It's soft and blendable!
Darling - This is a Taupey/Silvery shade. It's super dense and soft. It's almost TOO soft. It kinda crumbles up. But it blends out really well on the lid!
Swoon - This is the love of my life, It's a metallic RED. It's SO soft, I barely have to touch my brush to the pan to get pigment. It glows!
Por Vida - The most intense matte white i'v ever used!! It's so SMOOTH!!
Lovestruck - This is a very sheer shade, but It's so beautiful to me. It's a creamsicle orange shade in the pan, but it's literally pressed fairy dust. It's a opalescent, orangey/pinky shade. Very soft!!

This set also comes with a full sized Kat Von D Tattoo liner, and Too Faced Better than Sex mascara!

I am in LOVE with the liner! It's so easy to get a thin line with this, which is ESSENTIAL for people with hooded eyes like myself!! It's NOT waterproof. My outer corners were watering, and this completely disappeared there. But it doesn't transfer or smudge!!

Price: $79
Cons: 2 duds FOR SURE, pricey, Not easy to store/travel with, eye liner isn't waterproof,
Pros: Soft/Smooth textures of the shadows, No fall out, Pigment for days, the red shadow didn't stain my lids.
Overal: 9.5/10.
