Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb & Free Style Kilowatt Highlighter in Hu$tla Baby - Review and Swatches

Hello Hello!!!

Today we're going to be looking at two Fenty Beauty products!!

The highlighter is very yellow/warm, so I would NOT recommend it for fair/pink undertoned people!! But for my warm yellow light medium skin tone. this highlight is perfection!!

The highlight is SPARKLY. it has visible specks of sparkles on my cheeks, even after I buff and melt it into my skin. So if you DO NOT like sparkly/high shine highlights this would not be for you!!

I personally like these kinds of highlights when I'm out at night time, to really make my skin POP. So I will and do use it quite often!!

The Gloss Bomb is stunning!! It's not sticky or tacky, its medium weight/heaviness, and it really does hydrate your lips!!!

I wore this gloss on a day where it was -31 degrees C, and my lips didn't get burned or chapped from the wind and cold!!

Amount: The "mini" gloss bomb has 5.5ml in it, where the full size is 9ml. so it's over half the amount of the full size!! The mini highlighter is 2.2g!! so pretty small, but you need SO little of it!

Overall: I HIGHLY recommend this mini set, or picking up these in full size!! Very lovely and I'm looking forward to purchasing more from this line!

Urban Decay Jean Michel Basquiat Blush Palette Review + Swatches

Hello!!!

I'v been deciding if I should post this, for a good week or two. But I figured since this is still available on Sephora Canada. I'll post it!

X-Rated is a matte cool, light pink blush
Now's The Time is a shimmery golden highlight
Jawbone is a matte warm medium brown bronzer
NoHo is a matte purple/plum blush

To cut to the chase, I LOVE this palette! It's my favorite cheek palette to date. I'v hit pan on Jawbone, because I use it every single day to add warmth and definition to my cheeks and.

I use NoHo the most out of the two blushes. But X-Rated is still stunning!!

These blend, and buff out easily. I don't feel like I need to bring out the big guns to blend them out.

They aren't SUPER powdery to the point I have to lightly tap my brush into the pan. But they aren't stiff or hard.

I would recommend this palette for light medium to medium tan skintones. I'v seen swatches of this palette on deep dark skin. And the two blushes were definitely ashy looking!!

Overall: 9/10

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals Review

Hey all!! Long time no post, am I right?

I'v been SWAMPED with work, and my best friend who lives in the next province, came to stay at my place for a work week. etc. Excuses excuses!

Lets jump into today's review/chat!

First off, I'm sorry I don't have any pretty brand new shots of this highlight. I bought it last month, while in America. And I DOVE into using this the morning after buying it!

This highlight, is a Peachy, Golden highlight. It's super easy to pick up on my highlighting brush, but not TOO much comes off on the brush. It's soft and silky. It almost feels like a baked powder!

I love love how versatile this product is! If I pack it on, it's a pretty blush. If I do a sheer layer, it's a beautiful peachy highlight. I can see this working for a few skintones! Not just fair/light. Remind me to apply this to my dark skinned friend and get back to yall on the results!!

This lasts a good 9 to 10 hours on my oily skin. With minimal fading.

It does accentuate my pores if I put too much on the apples of my cheeks. I will say that!!

Overall: 8/10!

Essence Pure Nude Highlight Review

Hello all!! Today we're going to look at an amazing, cheap highlight!!

This highlight is a light beige, with a low sheen. It's a more natural, and low sheen highlight. Perfect for oily skin, or people who prefer more natural highlights!

Here I am wearing two layers of Essence Pure Nude highlight on my cheeks, and one light layer on my nose and cupids bow.

This is a baked highlight, It's soft, and is easy to pick up on a brush. Totally different than what I think of when I think of baked powders.

This highlight lasts from morning, to when I wash my face at night. I have oily skin. My nose, and inner cheeks are where I'm the most oily.

Overall, this is a beautiful, easy, highlight perfect from Light/Medium skintones, to the deeper end of the Medium skintone range! I personally have not used this on a very deep, rich skintone yet. So I personally can not say what it would look like!!

I like strong highlights. That's a personal preference. But each of these can be buffed and sheered out, except for two of them!!

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blushes and Bronzer Review

Hey friends!!

Today we're talking about a brand I don't really use. Physicians Formula! I don't like to use their products because they do not cater to my darker skinned siblings. They only have two shades? How impractical.

But I received these three products as a gift. So I'm going to use them and review them for any of yall that are interested in them!

From Left to Right we have: "Natural", "Bronze" and "Rose"

These blushes/bronzer are VERY strongly fragranced! There is a super strong, spicy, warm, scent to them. I personally have skin that can tolerate fragrance, but if you have reactive/sensitive skin. Stay away!
  

Here they are swatched on my inner wrist/arm, where I am my palest.

From left to right we have:

Rose: A mauvey plum, with white/silvery sheen/shimmer. Very soft and easy to blend.

Bronze: A shimmery light golden shade. This adds ZERO warmth to my skin. This is a golden highlighter on my NC20/NC25 face, and while I love the sheen it adds. I'm disappointed in the shade.

Natural: Is a satin light cool/blue based pink. This has no visible shimmer in this one, it's just a nice satin finish. Slightly harder to blend then it's shimmery siblings, but still workable!

Price: $15.50 for the blushes, and $19.60 for the bronzer.

Pros: Good blend-ability, soft, non powdery, travels well.

Cons: Zero shades for dark skin makeup lovers, I have to layer it three times to get my desired flush.

Overal: 6/10. I would recommend these for fair skinned pals. But I'm not impressed at all at the shade range.

I used to have their potted gel liner. Which is my ALL TIME fave waterline liner. It lasts a good 10 hours on me. But it has dried out and I don't have the cash to rebuy it right this second!

Colourpop Highlighter Review/Swatches

Good afternoon friends! Today we're looking at Colourpop's highlighers!

I have 5 of them, and out of the 5, there's 3 different finishes/levels of shimmer/glow.

Colourpop has lots of different shades and tones of highlights. I really do appreciate them having deeper highlights!!

I have in left to right from the top picture: Honeymoon, Lunch Money, Perilune, School is Fun, and Flexitarian.

I took some ~artsy~ shots to show what the shades really look like!!

From top to bottom we have swatched:

Perilune - This is a sparkly, light green highlight.
Honeymoon - This one is a iridescent blue sparkly highlight.
School Is Fun - This is one of my favourite shades of highlight. It's a Yellow Gold shimmer.
Flexitarian - This one is hard to describe, it's a light champagney Beige? It's a metallic shade.
Lunch Money - This is a light warm white-ish shade. It's the least shimmery.

Close up's to show the finish's of them. As you can see, the two "odd" coloured one's, Perilune and Honeymoon are very glittery/sparkly with a sheer base.

The rest have a more opaque base, but differing levels of shine!

The formula, if you haven't used colourpop before, is very creamy, and soft. Their Highlighters almost feel wet to the touch, in my opinion.

I wear full coverage foundation every day, and I'v found if I pat them onto my cheek bones, it moves the foundation under it. and makes my base look patchy. So I think the best way to apply these with a full coverage base is to pat it on with your fingers, then take a synthetic brush and buff it out! This makes the product disturb the base the least for me!

Price: $8
Pros: Differing levels of shimmer, LOTS of shades, Dark skin friendly shades, Easy to apply on the run.
Cons: Can mess up base if you're not careful, Can make base patchy, they MAY sink into pores.
Overall: 8.5/10

The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer, and Hot Mama reviews

Hello friends!

Today we're talking about The Balm's cheek products! I own two of their products,

The Mary Lou-Manizor Highlight and Hot Mama Blush.

As you can see, I REALLY like the Mary Lou!

I'v had the Mary Lou for two years. And Hot Mama for one!

Hot Mama is a beautiful pink/coral base with a TON of gold shimmer! It's a SUPER luminous blush, and not for those who hate shimmer! I love this in the summer, as a very easy cheek shade. It lasts all day for me!

Mary Lou is a golden metallic shade. This is the most intense highlighter I have. I have to go light with this on the apples of my cheeks, or else it shows off the ol' pores!

Price: $26 for Hot Mama, $30 for Mary Lou!
Pros: They are both super easy to blend out, and diffuse, and aren't powdery, but are pigmented!
Cons: The Mary Lou can be a bit too intense!

My most used/favourite highlights!

It's no secret, I'm a highlight hoe! I love to pack it on my cheek bones. And I own way too many highlights.

From top to bottom we have:

The balms Mary lou-manizor (Super intense metallic Champagne)
Sephora Brand Micro smooth luminizor in 02 Light Beam (Peachy/Pink. Very fairy esk!)
Sephora Brand Micro smooth Luminizor in 01 Star Dust (Intense Yellow Gold shimmer)
QUO Prismatic Face Pallet (White shimmer, very intense!!)

My all time favourite, hit pan on highlights are Mary Lou, and Star Dust. I'v fully finished and repurchased Star dust, and I'v hit MAJOR pan on Mary Lou!!
