ELF Mad For Matte 1 Review

Hello all!! I'm here with a quick palette review today!

These eye shadows are smooth, silky, and slightly powdery!

They blend out exceptionally well.

I have severely hooded eyes, and I love to use this palette to carve out my crease, and make my lids look less puffy!

Overall: 7.5/10!

Sephora Brand Single Eyeshadows Review

Hello all!! Today we're going to talk about my three (I actually own four, but I own two of the same shade :P ) Sephora Brand Colorful Eyeshadows!

I own three like I said,

Swan Song, a pale, matte baby pink.
Buttered Popcorn, a shimmery barely yellow off white.
Hidden Treasure a metallic, glittery olive green.

Swan Song, is one of the BEST matte's I'v ever used, it's up there with ABH's mattes for me!! I use this to set my eye primer, to highlight my brow, and if i'v taken my crease shade too high I use this to buff it out!

Hidden Treasure is a touch dry, and doesn't work well with a lid brush. I'v found the best way to use this stunner of a shade is to swirl my finger through the pan, and then pat it firmly onto my mobile lids! This way I get no fall out, and it stays put all day!

Buttered Popcorn is a very pretty lid shade, and inner corner shade! It has no fall out. And is soft!! It's slightly dry like Hidden Treasure. But It's workable in my opinion! I also adore this as a cheek highlight!

Price: $13 regular price, $7 on sale.

Pros: Easy to blend out, Lasts all day over primer, true to pan.

Cons: Slightly dry textured, SLIGHTLY difficult to work with.

Overall: 8/10

Joe Fresh Gold Rush Eye Shadow Trio Review

We're going to talk about yet another amazing Canadian product/brand!

We're going to look at swatches and pictures of one of my favourite Joe Fresh Products, their Gold Rush Trio!

This trio has a warm, white gold. A sheer glittery peach, and a metallic orangey bronze!

I couldn't capture the pretty of these shadows fully, as the sun was setting. But they are smooth, creamy, and blendable!!

I can't get a full look out of this, but I love to do a matte brown in the crease, then the glittery peach in the inner half of my mobile lid, then the bronzey shade on outer half and lower lashline, and the white gold to highlight!

Amount: It says NO WHERE on the packaging the amount of product you get?? Hmm

Price: I paid $3 for this on sale. But it's usually around $7 or $8!

Pros: overall, great formula!!

Cons: I'd have to bring extra shadow with me if I took this on vacation. Can't get complete looks out of this.

Lancome 209 Blush Sweetness Eye brightening all in one 5 pan palette GWP Review

Hello!!

We're going to be looking at some Lancome eye shadow swatches today!! I was given this 5 pan mini GWP palette in a swap, and I fell HARD for it! Red eye shadow? Shimmery Taupe?! I'm IN.

Our love story was short lived, unfortunately...

First off, I like the packaging. It's small, and convenient, and has a mirror so it's great for travel and on the go, in that sense.

Also, look at those STUNNING shades!! That taupe <3

My problem with this palette?

The shadows DON'T LAST! I prime my eye lids EVERY SINGLE DAY, with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, then I take my face powder or a matte cream shadow and I press that into the primer to set it into place. And that's always good enough for me to get all day wear with my Oily, Hooded eyes.

But these! Oh my goodness. By the end of the day when I go to take my makeup off, the shadows are all faded into one big brown splotch. And are patchy as HELL.

I'v tried everything, and I just can't get this to work. :(

Price: It was a GWP!

Amount: 2G

Overall: 3/10!

L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows Review

Hey all!!

I'm going to be gushing at yall today about my new favourite single eye shadows!!

Yep. I'm finally joining the L'oreal Infallible shadow train!!

I own two of these amazing shadows, both in the Iridescent finish!

I own the shades, 021 Sahara Treasure and 002 Hourglass Beige!

Sahara Treasure is a beautiful golden, olivey, brown with a metallic silvery sheen! It's super soft, and pigmented. This was one swipe! It's a beautiful all over the mobile lid shade!

Hourglass Beige is a stunning light yellowy white, with a slight pink shimmer/sheen. It's STUNNING on the inner corners and all over the mobile lid, or even in a halo eye!

These shadows are buttery, smooth, and soft! They blend out with a few swipes of my 217.

Price: $10.99 at the cheapest (walmart) $13.99 at SDM.

Amount: 3.5G

Pros: Everything!! They last all day over a primer, don't transfer too much with my hooded eyes, are soft and super blendable!

Cons: Nothing! I want more of these!

Favourite Green Eye Shadows

Hello all!!! I hope you all know by now, how I am OBSESSED with lush, shimmery, green shadows!

I have medium, warm brown, eyes that LOVE Green shadows!

These are all of my favourite greens laid out and swatched!

From left to right we have:

Fierce Magenta cosmetics - Calista
MAC Cosmetics - Humid
Coastal Scents - Balsam
Coastal Scents - Dark Golden Olive
Coastal Scents - Forrest Eve
MAC - Sumptuous Olive
Sephora Brand - Hidden Treasure
Shiseido - GR707
Colourpop - Perilune
Colourpop - Hammered

I was planning on writing out what I love and hate about each shadow, but honestly? I'm SO picky about my greens. There's nothing that I DON'T love about these!!!

The powders are all creamy, pigmented, and last all day over primer.
The creams are soft, and blendable, and applied over primer last all day.
The one loose shadow, doesn't have a TON of fallout, and doesn't have fallout throughout the day.

I highly Recommend each of these shadows!!!

Sephora Brand Smokey Eye Shadow Palette

Good morning!! Today we're talking eye shadow!

This is a eye shadow palette I bought for my mother last year, so unfortunately it's Discontinued now, But I'm sure if you do like it, it'll be in some blog sales!

Anyway!

At a glance, this palette looks right up my alley! There's a matte cream, there's a green, a purple, etc.

The texture is kinda all over the place on this palette, some are CREAMY, and dense, and buttery! Where some of the matte's are sheer, patchy, and dry!

I find this palette hard to create cohesive looks from, there's one matte crease shade, and that's a light greyish colour. Which would be good for cooler toned people than myself! But for me, I find I'm having to pack a matte brown single when I travel with this palette.

Overall: I feel neutral on this palette, I don't HATE it, but I'm not IN LOVE with it! I'm thinking of depotting the two shades I really like from here, and putting them into my travel Z palette!

Modern Renaissance EOTD's

Hello!!! Today i'm showing you some looks i'v done so far, with my new MR palette! I'm REALLY loving this palette. It's so lovely!

This is the first look, I did a mauvey/plummy look.

I used Tempera from lashline to brow bone to set my eye primer, then I took Buon Fresco into the crease, then I used Antique Bronze on the outer corners and outer half of my mobile lid. I then patted Vermeer onto my inner corners, and inner halfs of my lids!

Two coats of mascara later we're done!

My first successful halo eye!!! I used Tempera to set my primer, then I buffed Buon Fresco in the crease lightly, I took a packing brush and patted Antique Bronze onto my outer and inner corners, and lightly blended . I then took my finger and lightly patted Vermeer onto my lids to act like a spot light!

Add a nice vampy lip, and some lashes and you're good to go!!

Modern Renaissance Palette Quick Swatches, First Impressions, and Tutorial!

Hello, hello, hello!!

My birthday was the 11th, a few days ago, and as a gift, I was allowed to order this palette, and it came in the mail today!!

So here's some quick swatches on my skin, Some quick first impressions on the formula, and a quick tutorial I did the first time I used this palette!

So far, I'v swatched, and touched every shade, and I'v used seven out of fourteen in a look (the one below) and the formula is creamy, soft, and delicious. The two metallics/shimmers, are dense, and SO creamy. The matte's are a touch clumpy if you pick up too much, and can be very powdery!!

I'm really digging this formula though! we shall see how long it lasts on my oily hooded lids!

(It also passes the "shannon test" and I can JUST use this palette to do a whole look. AKA It has a matte cream/shade lighter than my skintone, a matte warm brown, and a matte deep brown!)

For this look, I started off with ELF sheer eyelid primer from lash line to brow bone, then I set that primer with Tempera (Matte white/cream), I took a fluffy blending brush and ran Raw Sienna (Matte orangey light tan shade) in the crease to start building it up, then I took a pencil brush and some of Red Ocher (Matte burnt red) and I ran that through the crease, but not as high as I took Raw Sienna. I took my 217 and buffed that out, then I picked up some of Antique Bronze (Satiny deep bronze) and I patted that onto my outer corners. I started by putting it onto the outer corner of my mobile lid and I blended it up onto my hood. I took a dense lid brush, and I patted Primavera (Highly shimmery yellowy gold) onto my inner 3/4 of my mobile lids, And up onto my hood a little bit in the inner corners. I blended the two lid shades where they met in the middle. Then I took a small stiff pencil brush and I packed and smoked out my lower lashline wtih Love Letter (Matte raspberry) I then took Vermeer (Highly shimmery cream coloured shade) and highlighted my brow bones, and inner corners. I then added mascara, and winged liner. And I decided to add some more of Love Letter ONTOP of Antique Bronze on my outer corners, so I took the fluffy end of the brush that came with the palette and I patted and lightly blended that!!

And that's it!! It looks like I spent SO much time layering, and blending. When in fact it took me like 10 minutes to do this!!

I'll be doing more looks with this palette in the upcoming while!! :)
