So Good I Repurchased - 5 Things I finished and Repurchased

Hey!!!

Happy September, friends!!!

Today I'm going to show yall some things I finished, and then repurchased because I loved them so much!

while I didn't "finish" my first Modern Renaissance palette, I'v hit pan or fully finished 7 shadows. So I bought a new one, to use for when my first one is finished!!

L'oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is wonderful! It's my longest lasting foundation in the summer heat I found. I use the smallest amount, and really spread and press this foundation into my skin, and my skin looks amazing! I used to have the shade 304, but it was way too pink. So I went up a shade to 305 which is perfect!

I used to own MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer in NW25, but it was too pink and dark, so once I finished that. I bought the shade NC20. which is lighter than my skintone. So It brightens my under eyes perfectly!

LUSH's Santa Baby lip tint is my holy grail, all time favourite lipstick! I'v only ever finished two lipsticks before. And this is one of them!

I'm on my third compact of the Annabelle Brow-To-Go!! It's my perfect shade match for my brows, and it lasts all day. What more could I ask for!?

L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows Review

Hey all!!

I'm going to be gushing at yall today about my new favourite single eye shadows!!

Yep. I'm finally joining the L'oreal Infallible shadow train!!

I own two of these amazing shadows, both in the Iridescent finish!

I own the shades, 021 Sahara Treasure and 002 Hourglass Beige!

Sahara Treasure is a beautiful golden, olivey, brown with a metallic silvery sheen! It's super soft, and pigmented. This was one swipe! It's a beautiful all over the mobile lid shade!

Hourglass Beige is a stunning light yellowy white, with a slight pink shimmer/sheen. It's STUNNING on the inner corners and all over the mobile lid, or even in a halo eye!

These shadows are buttery, smooth, and soft! They blend out with a few swipes of my 217.

Price: $10.99 at the cheapest (walmart) $13.99 at SDM.

Amount: 3.5G

Pros: Everything!! They last all day over a primer, don't transfer too much with my hooded eyes, are soft and super blendable!

Cons: Nothing! I want more of these!

Monthly Favorites - February 2017

Hello!!! I want to try and do a quick favourites post each month, just to let you all know exactly what I'm reaching for, and what I'm using the most each month. I can't say if i'll get a favourites up EVERY month. But I'm going to try! :P

Let's start!

As you all know if you've checked my blog even once, this month I got the Modern Renaissance palette! And I'v worn it almost every single day since I got it on the 13th!!! The shadows are buttery, creamy, slightly powdery, but very pigmented!! I love that I can get multiple looks out of this one palette!

I picked up LUSH's Rosy Cheeks on the 11th (my birthday!) as a gift to myself, and I finished it last night! It's a lovely mask! Dare I say, my new favourite mask from lush? It's a clay based one, that dries down in about 10 minutes, but it's not SO dry my easily dehydrated skin felt tight and sore after. It actually felt TOTALLY different. My skin was bright, and soft after I rinsed this mask off!!

I was given BITE Beetroot for my birthday as well, And I'v worn it quite a bit this month!! It's a super creamy, moisturizing, soft, dark berry lipstick. I loves it!! I actually am really preferring the Amuse Bouch formula over the DC Luminous Creme formula! The Amuse Bouche formula seems to last longer, and it almost feels like it SETS. Very much so love!

NARS Sin, I got for christmas, And boy has this bad boy gotten some love!! It's a BEAUTIFUL Berry shade with golden shimmer ontop! It's super easy to blend, and it lasts all day on me! Perfect!

Tarte Birthday Suit Creamy matte lip paint, and I didn't get along at first!! In fact I thought it was grainy, and chalky looking on me. Turns out, I just needed to mix it, and wear the right eye/cheek look with it!! It feels comfortable, and lasts pretty darn well!!

Clinique High Impact Mascara and I are having a love affair right now!! I love the brush, it's thin, Nothing pisses me off more than a mascara brush that's bigger than my whole eye!!! It's a wet formula, and it gives me LASHES. I get the drama, and length I crave with this!!

I picked up this foundation as soon as it showed up in my local walmart!! (I was very interested, but sure as HELL was NOT paying $24.99 for it at shoppers!!!) And it was love at first application. This helps me touch up less, and it wears ALL day. I use less concealer with this. And overall it's love!! The only thing I don't like, is it's VERY pink. So I have to blend it down my neck/chest depending on my sweater/shirt. But that's my fault, as I'm pretty sure I'm actually the shade UP 305 which has a stronger yellow undertone!!

That's all for this month!! What were your favourites this month?

L'oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation (304) Review

Ello!! Today we're doing a foundation review!!

I am currently, a MAC NC20 as i'm at my lightest. This shade is off. it is light enough, but it's pretty darn pink. I'm going to be purchasing the next shade up, because it swatches more yellow!!

This is my skin, primed and ready for foundation! I took these at 6am, while I was applying my foundation.

My biggest concerns with my skin are: Redness in my cheeks (here I have green primer on!) my undereyes and covering up my dark, dark, acne scarring on my cheeks!

This foundation is High Medium, to Light full coverage. I'm SUPER impressed with this formula.
I have oily skin, and this keeps me matte the longest. I DO have to blot, and I am oily by midnight when I remove my makeup, but I'm a oily gal, Im used to blotting and powdering.

This is JUST the foundation, I applied it all over, and did a layer and a half on my cheeks. But see how my undereyes are way more concealed, my skin looks even, and matte, My acne scarring is pretty darn covered. It's just slightly peeking out!

Here is my skin/face with concealer, powder, and blush on. I think it looks amazing!! And very flawless!!

I did this wear test for y'all yesterday, But I came home at 3am, a little under the influence
(I am in Canada. And here I am legal drinking age. Just to let any American readers know this, before you all worry LOL)
And when I got home I just took a makeup wipe, and wiped it off and then did my skin care routine.

But, It was totally worn off on my nose, and my inner cheeks. It looks splotchy? and like my pores were more visible which I think Is weird, because I have very non prominent pores.

Price: $24 at shoppers drug mart, and $16.99 at Walmart.
Pros: Great coverage! Very easy to spread and blend out. Keeps me matte!
Cons: Once my oils mix with the foundation on my nose, it just wipes/transfers off. No matter now much I apply powder and setting spray. This happens every time. Shade range is very pink toned. (Which could be a pro for some!)
Overal: 7.5/10

Sookie FOTD

Hey all!! Yes, this is ANOTHER Fotd. I'm sorry!! But i'v been really feeling my makeup looks lately! :P

                                                       This is the "whole" look!!

Face: For face I did Maybelline Baby skin primer all over my face, then I patted on a little bit of MUFE step 1 mattifying primer in my T zone. I then applied L'oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation with my warm fingers, I did three dots of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes and buffed that out! I then took a big fluffy brush and patted MAC loose Set powder all over.

Cheeks: I contoured using the cool brown in the ELF Contour kit, I buffed Smashbox Halo Blush in Warm Glow onto my cheeks, and highlighted with The Balms Mary-Lou!

This is the close up of the eye look:

For eyes:
I started with Too Faced shadow insurance to prime.
I then took Sephora Brand eyeshadow in Swan Song and set from lashline to brow bone.
I took a fluffy crease brush and buffed Colourpop Bel Air through my crease as a transition
Then I then ran some of Coastal Scents Barista through my crease to deepen and darken
I took my 217 and buffed out any harsh lines
I packed a MUFE Artist shadow onto my outer half of my mobile lid. (I don't know the name, It's from the artist shadow pallet #1)
I patted Colourpop High Strung onto my inner half of my lids (I went slightly over my lid, onto my crease so you could see it when my eyes were open!)
I lightly brushed the line between the two lid shades to blend.
I applied a light coat of mascara to my upper lashes, and two coats to my bottom ones.
I did my small wings AFTER I did mascara.
Then I popped some lashes on!

For brows, I just took an angled brush and ran the darkest shade from my Annabelle brows to go kit through my brows darkening them. And then I lightly ran some of MAC tinted Waterproof Brow set in Brown Ebony.

For lips, I used a plummy purple lip liner, then applied two coats of Colourpop Ultra Glossy lip in Sookie to my lips!!

My foundation shades!

Today we are going to talk about foundation!!

My skin type: Dehydrated deep down, Oily on top, Acne prone, and very prominent warm/yellow undertones!

I am biracial for any of you that do not know this. I am not fully white. And that's where I get my eye shape, my wide, flat nose, and my full lips from!!

I am very lucky when it comes to foundation/concealer. I am light skinned. But I'm not VERY fair to the point where everything is too dark. I can ALWAYS find a shade match (a undertone match is a very different story!) I'm usually in the beginning or middle of drugstore foundation shades!

These are my current "open" foundations:

From left to right we have:

MUFE Ultra HD liquid foundation in the shade Y225
LUSH Skin tint in the shade Dark Yellow
Garnier Oily Skin BB cream in the shade Light Medium
The Body Shop Vitamin E BB cream in the shade Glowing
Physicians Formula Argan Wear BB cream in the shade Light Medium
MUFE Velvet Mat + Foundation in the shade #40
MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 In the shade NC20
ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in the shade Sand
L'oral Infallible Pro Matte Foundation in the shade 104 Golden Biege

Here is all of the foundations swatched in the same order as above. As you can see, I'm yellow toned obviously, and I like full coverage matte foundations! I have pretty darn, clear, and even skin. I just really prefer the cake life.

Here I am, barefaced, in the middle of a canadian winter! My skin is pretty darn clear, I don't have a lot to cover besides under eyes.

My best match right now, Is ELF Flawless foundation in Sand, and MAC NC20. In the summer I know I'm a NC25, because I tan SUPER easily and don't burn.

I hope this helps someone to find a foundation match who is close to my skin tone!!

Happy Holidays! / Christmas Eve FOTD / Mini Haul!

Happy holidays everyone!! I hope everyone is safe and warm and surrounded by lots of loved ones, blood related or not.

I got payed yesterday, so I picked up a few things I needed!!

I wear at LEAST SPF 60 every day under my makeup, so I go through a LOT of sunblock!! I have extremely acne prone/sensitive skin. I usually buy the Neutragena Clear Skin acne prone sun block, BUT! It's gone up in price $3 since I first bought it. It's currently $14.99 at CHEAPEST. So ya girl branched out! I picked up Coppertone Sensitive skin face sunblock with SPF 60. fingers crossed I don't get a rash, or break out from it!!

I also picked up the ELF Contouring kit. I'v been VERY into bronzing up my cheeks and forehead lately (I have a super small forehead, so I don't know why I'd want to contour it LOL) lately!! So I figured for $8, this would be a good compact thing for all of my travelling!! I am wearing the cooler contour shade in my cheeks, and the warm brown one on my forehead, and the shimmery white on my cheek bones!!

Lastly in this mini haul, I saw a box with my HOLY GRAIL mascara, ( L'oreal Voluminous Million lashes! in the gold tube!) with a full sized L'oreal liquid eye liner for $9.85!!! That's a STEAL. And I'm on the last bits of my current sample sized mascara, so I'm going to put the mascara away until i'm for sure done with my current mascara!! I'm wearing the liquid liner in the FOTD picture. And so far, after using it once, i think I like it!! I need to get the hang of the applicator. But it's pretty darn good!!

Onto my Christmas Eve FOTD!!

Why yes, I AM wearing purple eyeshadow, purple lipstick, AND a purple shirt! LOL. I'm currently testing a new foundation for review, so what do you all think of the colour match? I think it's perfect!

Anyway!! I'm heading off to go eat chinese food with my loved ones!! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful upcoming weeks!!!
