Why Must Everything Run Out At The Same Time? - $$$$$ Haul

Hey all!!! Iv been waiting to do this post, until I got all of my orders in!!!

I ran out of a BUNCH of stuff at the same time, and I needed some things for flights I'm taking. So I figured a Sephora Haul was in order!!

THIS, is my entire haul. (Can you feel my embarrassment through the screen?)

First off, I got the UD Basquiat Gold Griot, and Blush Palette on sale for $22 each! I love the blush palette, and am EXTREMELY happy with it!! I'v used at least one shade from it every day since getting it!

The neutral shadow palette is okay. It's definitely not a all in one palette for me, thats for sure!! But I want to push my comfort zone!

The most expensive thing in the haul, I FINALLY bit the bullet, and bought a 90ml bottle of my all time favourite perfume. SIGH. It's Versace Bright Crystal. It's bright, cheerful, and happy! It smells like citrus and florals on me!

Next, here is all of the Clinique stuff I bought!! I got a back up of my Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ 125ml bottle, Because I usually use this day and night, and my current 125ml bottle is halfway done.

I got two Moisture Surge sets as well. One came with their Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate, Moisture Surge Face Spray, and a Chubby stick that I gave to my mother!

The other set came with, Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturizer, their Moisture Surge Hydrating Mask, And the same Chubby Stick from the first kit!

I'm flying three times this year. (Up to Northern Canada, Across the country to British Columbia, and Down to New York City!) so I picked up these hydrating minis for the plane!

These are the primers I got. I had run out of all face primers, and I usually cocktail and use two at a time. So I got a sample of Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Cover FX Blurring Primer, Cover FX Iluuminating Primer, Cover FX Mattifying Primer, MUFE Redness Correcting Primer, and lastly, MUFE Smoothing Primer!

I like to use the Redness one, or the Illuminating one all over my face, as neither have silicones. And then go in and tap a mattifying, or blurring primer on my nose and inner cheeks!

I got two 1oz Setting sprays from Cover FX. one is the Illuminating one, and the other is the Mattifying one! So far, I'm really digging these!

As an Oily girl. I love loose powder! I go through loose powder the MOST.

So I picked up a 30g tub of Laura Mercier Loose Translucent powder, and a mini 9g tub of the same powder.

I also got a 4g tub of Cover FX's Matte Setting Powder.

I also finally finished my Tarte Shape Tape. And since it's extremely difficult to get it here in Canada. I bought the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Custard. (Spoiler - I LOVE IT)

For lips, I got two BITE beauty sets. One has a mini lipstick in Gazpacho - a cool red, One has a mini lipstick in Pepper - a brown pink, and then there's two lip pencils in 078 - a cool red, and 016 - a brown plum/pink.

I also got a mini Givenchy lipstick in 23 - A bright creamy fuchsia!

Lastly, I got two mini tubes of my FAVOURITE facial moisturizer, aka Josie Maran Whipped Argan Face Butter.

And a 1oz tube of Boscia Luminizing Black peel off mask!!!

This is everything I'v boughten this month. What do you think of these items??

High Strung (Metaphorically and Actually) FOTD

Good morning everyone!!!

I wanted to show off a look I did today!! I am currently running on coffee, and haven't slept in 30 hours. Pray for me y'all!!

To start off, I washed my face with a non foaming lotion-y face wash. Patted dry, then applied a good amount of Josie Maran's Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter to moisturize and sooth my skin. I then applied 4 pumps of Coppertone Clearly Sheer SPF50 sunblock, and once the Coppertone SPF had set, I applied Shiseido's Wet Force SPF50+ Sunblock!

After the skincare had set and soaked in. I squeezed out a dime sized amount of Make Up For Ever's Green primer, and smoothed that all over my face to neutralize redness. Then pressed Make Up For Ever's Smoothing Primer into my T-Zone to blur pores. For foundation, I squeezed a small amount of Garnier Oily skin BB cream in Light/Medium onto the back of my hand, and took a flat topped foundation brush and stippled/pressed that into my skin for light coverage. Next, I took CoverFX N60 cream contour shade, and buffed and circled that along my cheek bones, and temples. Next, I took my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Custard. And pressed that under my eyes to hide the dark circles. To highlight my cheek bones, I used a mixture of CoverFX N20 and Starlight Illuminater and pressed that along the high points of my face. I quickly powdered using Laura Mercier Loose Translucent powder, pressing it into the skin.

Moving forward, I re-defined the contour, using Jawbone from the Basquiat blush palette, blending upwards!!! I added some colour to my face, using NoHo, a plummy purple blush. And highlighted with Wet N Wild Precious Petals highlighter!

For eyes, I primed with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and pressed a matte bone shade into the primer to set it. For all of my crease shades, I used the ELF Mad For Matte 1. For a transition shade, I took shade #4, a matte light peachy tan shade and buffed that in my crease and up my hood. For the first crease shade, I used shade #3, a matte light brown. And I buffed that through my crease and onto my hood, but not as high as the transition shade. Switching to a MAC 217, turned it on its side so it was flat, and I took shade #6, a matte deep brown. And placed that directly into the crease andi  outer corner of my mobile lid. I took a Real Techniques blending brush, and did one last blend through, then I picked up ELF's liquid Eye shadow in Rose Gold, and put some on the back of my hand then tapped the cream shadow onto my inner 3/4 of my mobile lids. This is the base shade for this rosey gold look. Next, I pressed Colourpop High Strung a metallic rose gold powder shadow, onto the cream base. This intensified it, and grabbed the shadow and locked it into place! To take the look to the next level, I tapped some of Colourpops Birthday Cake Super Shock Shadow, which is a soft rose with silver glitter, onto the inner parts of my mobile lids. Three layers of mascara on the upper and lower lashes later, the eyes are done!!

For Brows. I took an ELF Neutral Brown Eye Brow Pencil, and lightly filled in my brows, to add depth to them. And set them with Essence Make Me Brow!

For lips, I took BITE Lip Pencil in 016, and filled in my whole lips. then I tapped MAC Twig onto the center of my lips. Lightly blended,

AND WE'RE DONE!!!

What Makeup I Wore In 35 Degree Celsius (95 Degree's Fahrenheit!) Weather?

Hello all!! Long time not post, Because I was away for a week with work!

But I am home, and I am ready to sleep for a week.

While I was away, I was In 35 Degree weather, which for my Canadian self, IS WAY TOO GOD DAMN HOT! But I thought it would be a good idea to post what I wore, and what lasted all day, plus some tips!

In order of application, I wore:

Coppertone Clearly Sheer SPF50 Face Sunblock - This dries to a matte, non greasy finish! It doesn't break me out, and it doesn't burn my sensitive face! Overall, my favourite facial SPF!

Make Up For Ever Redness Correcting Primer + Smoothing Primer - I applied a light layer of the green primer all over my face, to correct the natural minor redness I have. Then pressed the Smoothing primer into my "pore" areas, so my nose and inner cheeks!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance - This is the only eye primer that works for me. So This was applied next!

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer Custard - This was applied to my right cheek, to cover the two cystic acne spots that popped up before I left. I applied this with my fingers in a tapping motion.

Tarte Shape Tape Light Medium Honey - I used THREE small dots of this under each eye and blended it up onto my eye lids to cover darkness around my eye area. I used a flat topped foundation brush to tap this into the skin.

Sephora Collection Colorful Cheek Ink Gel Peony - I took a stippling brush and applied this liquid blush to my cheeks next, before powdering.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder - I dusted this under my eyes, and onto my eye lids to set the concealer there and lock it into place.

Sephora Collection Matte Perfection Powder Foundation 18 Golden Linen - I took a flat topped powder brush, and pressed this powder foundation all over my face, next to cover up the redness in my cheeks, and set the concealer that I tapped onto my cheeks.

ELF Mist and Fix Setting Spray - I did a few Spritzes of this setting spray next. To get rid of any powdery look!

Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Blush Sweet - This is a shimmery coral pink blush. I knew I wanted a blush with a sheen, so I could skip on highlighting. I applied a few sweeps of this to my cheek bones next!

ELF Brow Pencil Neutral Brown - I filled in my brows lightly next. I spoolied them, then filled them in, and spoolied again to blend!!!

Essence Make Me Brow Brownie Brows - I locked in my brow pencil next, with this tinted brow gel! This lasts FOREVER on my oily skin!

ELF Mad For Matte 1 - I used the cream shade, and the 3 lightest brown shades from this palette to highlight my brow bone, and to re-create a crease!!

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows - I used these three shadows for my eye looks! I used the first one on my lower lashline every day (I think this is my perfect and favourite lower lash line shadow ever!) The burgundy shade, was used on my lids for a more "dramatic" night look for dinner, and the light pinky champagne shade was used for day time looks!

Essence Lash Princess Mascara - One of my favourite, long lasting mascaras!!

LUSH Santa Baby Lip Tint - My Holy Grail All Time Favourite lipstick!!! It's a matte, orange red. That lasts 9 hours on me, without drying out my lips, and needing to be re-applied!

ELF Mist and Fix Setting Spray - As the very last step I would spritz my face with this setting spray again!!

My tips for when you're in extreme heat, for long days:

Skip foundation if you can!! I find if I just spot conceal, and under eye conceal, my base lasts so much longer without getting patchy!!! Plus, I was able to re-apply SPF every 3/4 hours no problem!!

Layer creams with powders!!

Keep a little pouch with SPF, powder, lipstick, etc in your backpack/purse/bag and carry that with you!!

Less is more!!

Use tried and true favourites!! Don't test new makeup when you need it to last 12 hours in the heat!

ELF Mad For Matte 1 Review

Hello all!! I'm here with a quick palette review today!

These eye shadows are smooth, silky, and slightly powdery!

They blend out exceptionally well.

I have severely hooded eyes, and I love to use this palette to carve out my crease, and make my lids look less puffy!

Overall: 7.5/10!

ELF Liquid Eye Shadow In Liquid Gold, Rose Gold Review

Hey all!!

Today we're going to talk about two liquid eye shadows I really like!

At first use, I HATED these! But I figured out HOW to use them correctly!

These are liquid eye shadows in a tube with a doe foot applicator. Texture wise, these really are liquid-y.

First time I used these, I took the doe foot and smoothed it over my whole mobile lid, then tapped it out with my fingers. Which resulted in a sheer, glittery, patchy mess!

Now, I take the doe foot, and dab it onto the back of my hand, then pick up the liquid shadow with a flat, stiff synthetic brush. And tap that onto my lids!

This results in a glowy, dewy lid look!!!

I have zero issues with these creasing on my oily, severely hooded lids!!

Overall: 8/10
