Make Up Forever Artist eye shadows in M-646, D-826, and ME-512 Review!
Hey all!! I hope everyone had a great holiday season!
I went out boxing day shopping today, and I picked up 3 full sized MUFE Artist shadows! I own 9 mini pans, from the Artist Pro 1 pallet, and fell in LOVE with the formula.
It's described as a gel/powder formula. It has a very soft, creamy, buttery texture. I'v seen someone describe them as silicone-y textured. And I can agree to that!!
They have AMAZING pigmentation. And for a crappy eye shadow blender like yours truly, they practically blend themselves!!
For application of the Mattes, I prefer to use a fluffy crease/blending brush and just swoosh them through my crease like I would a "normal" eye shadow.
For application of the shimmers/metallic's I 100% honestly prefer my fingers!! I'll take a clean finger, and pat the shade onto my brow bones, my inner corners, my outer corner, my lids, etc. And then i'll take a fluffy blending brush and just blend everything out!!
Left to right we have: M-646 (Matte light/medium warm brown) D-826 (Metallic reddish purple with sparkles) and ME-512 (Light shimmery gold!)
Uses i'v found for this shade:
Crease shade, Bottom lash line shade, Eye lid shade, Matte bronzer for my cheeks!
Uses i'v found for this shade:
Eye lid shade, Blended up into the crease, Lower lashline shade, Blush.
Uses i'v found for this shade:
Cheek highlighter, Brow bone shade, Eye lid shade.
Now onto swatches!!
Overall I'm in love with this formula, and these shades!!
The only thing I'm NOT in love with, is the $58 CAD price tag for these three bad boys!!
9.5/10

Happy Holidays! / Christmas Eve FOTD / Mini Haul!
Happy holidays everyone!! I hope everyone is safe and warm and surrounded by lots of loved ones, blood related or not.
I got payed yesterday, so I picked up a few things I needed!!
I wear at LEAST SPF 60 every day under my makeup, so I go through a LOT of sunblock!! I have extremely acne prone/sensitive skin. I usually buy the Neutragena Clear Skin acne prone sun block, BUT! It's gone up in price $3 since I first bought it. It's currently $14.99 at CHEAPEST. So ya girl branched out! I picked up Coppertone Sensitive skin face sunblock with SPF 60. fingers crossed I don't get a rash, or break out from it!!
I also picked up the ELF Contouring kit. I'v been VERY into bronzing up my cheeks and forehead lately (I have a super small forehead, so I don't know why I'd want to contour it LOL) lately!! So I figured for $8, this would be a good compact thing for all of my travelling!! I am wearing the cooler contour shade in my cheeks, and the warm brown one on my forehead, and the shimmery white on my cheek bones!!
Lastly in this mini haul, I saw a box with my HOLY GRAIL mascara, ( L'oreal Voluminous Million lashes! in the gold tube!) with a full sized L'oreal liquid eye liner for $9.85!!! That's a STEAL. And I'm on the last bits of my current sample sized mascara, so I'm going to put the mascara away until i'm for sure done with my current mascara!! I'm wearing the liquid liner in the FOTD picture. And so far, after using it once, i think I like it!! I need to get the hang of the applicator. But it's pretty darn good!!
Onto my Christmas Eve FOTD!!
Why yes, I AM wearing purple eyeshadow, purple lipstick, AND a purple shirt! LOL. I'm currently testing a new foundation for review, so what do you all think of the colour match? I think it's perfect!
Anyway!! I'm heading off to go eat chinese food with my loved ones!! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful upcoming weeks!!!

Urban Decay Crisis Vice Lipstick Review!
I picked up Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Crisis back in September, and i'v worn it quite a bit this fall! It's a beautiful plummy, purpley, shade on me!
I love the packaging, I never had one of their Revolution lipsticks, so I can't compare them, but I like the design of this tube! I also love it doesn't open up in my bag/pocket!!
This is a Cream finish, and it's very creamy, and easy to apply! It smooths onto the lips with ease, depositing not too much, or too little product!!
This is one pass/swipe. You can see it has a natural/creamy sheen to it! On my skin tone, it's a deeper berry/plummy neutral colour! I would feel comfortable wearing this to class!
This is it on my lips, I applied straight from the tube, no lip brush! I think it makes my lips feel and look great!!
It does not heal chapped lips, but is doesn't dry them out further. It also has a almost crayon/waxy smell? If you've ever smelt a clinique chubby stick you'll know what this smells like!!
Over all 8.5/10!

Current HG Base Routine!
I'v been testing different foundations and primers and concealers for YEARS! And I think i'v found a routine that works super super well for me!!
My skin tone: Light, NC23, with prominent yellow/warm undertones.
My skin type: Oily, Acne prone, Sensitive.
This is my base routine in order of use! As you'll notice most is high end, and that's because I can NOT find something light and yellow enough at the drug store, or stuff that works with my finicky skin!
Primers!!!
I do a primer "cocktail" So I'll use one of the Green primers patted onto my cheeks and fore head. I can't pick which one I like better, out of the ELF tone correcting primer, or the Hard Candy Colour Correcting primer. They are both A+ in my opinion!!
After patting the green primer into my skin, I'll squeeze out some Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying primer and I'll lightly pat this into my fore head/nose/chin/inner cheeks to stop shine!
For Foundation:
I'll squeeze out a SMALL less than a dime sized dot of Make Up Forever Mat Velvet+ foundation (im in the shade #40) onto the back of my hand, then take a real techniques buffing brush and I'll dot this onto my skin then buff it in. This gives me just enough coverage to even out my skin and hide my red ness!!
Then I'll take the Kat Von D Lock it Concealer Creme, and i'll swipe it across the apples of both cheeks then take what's left over on the brush and dot that under my eyes, and i'll blend that all out. I'm in the shade Light11 in the concealer, and it's THE PERFECT shade for me. I can use this as foundation, just a dot or two around my face and buff out!!
For Powder: I love Sephora Brand Matte Perfection Powder Foundation in the shade 18 Golden Linen. It's yellow toned so perfect for me! And it's MATTE. I personally love a MATTE/FLAT base. And then add highlight in strategic places. Because of my oily skin! But this powder is amazing and I will be repurchasing!
For Setting spray: I'v tried all of the Urban Decay setting sprays and I hated them all. I used the Avon Setting spray for YEARS. Until I met Mist and Fix. I like to PACK on the powder, then just spray my face to take away the powdery look, and to add a hint of natural dew back to my skin. And this does exactly that!! My foundation NEVER fades or breaks down. I do get oily, but I'd rather blot then have oils trapped in my pores all day!
These are my current HG Base products. What are your current faves?

Sephora/MAC Christmas Haul!
My family gave me money and said for me to buy part of my Christmas gifts. That way I get exactly what I want/need in the correct size/shade.
Last year, I bought a bunch of "grown up" clothes.
This year, I ordered/bought makeup that i'm missing in my collection!! I own more than enough lipsticks to last me years, and this past year between IMAT's Toronto, and just online sales, I'v built up my eye shadow stash to where I'm super happy!!
But, I have very little base or face products! I find foundation, concealer, powder etc very boring compared to my beloved lipsticks. I have ZERO foundations that match my winter skin. All of my foundations match my very tan summer skin. And I go through Powder like WATER, because of my oily skin!
Enough chatting! Lets see what I'm getting for christmas!
From MAC (Which was 25% off the last four days so I saved $55 CAD) I got:
Blot Powder Medium Dark (I'v used this before in Medium, and it was way too light. But I adore this powder)
217 blending brush (I got the smaller handled one, But I'v been on the market for a nice blending brush)
Brow Set in the darkest shade (I'm all out of my current brow gel. And this was $15 with the sale so!)
Set Powder (It's 30g's of loose powder. My oily ass skin is in heaven!)

Duo fiber blush brush (My current blush brush, is 10+ years old and rest in peace it's starting to shed like mad)
Brush cleanser (I currently use a bar of soap to clean my brushes, but I want to try this for between washes)
Studio Fix Fluid spf 15 In NC20 (I use NC25 in the summer from about May to September, so I'm going to try this shade for the in-between months)
And for a sample, I chose Prep + Prime Radiance Yellow primer (I'm ALWAYS down for new primers!)
Moving on to Sephora! I had my VIB $20 off card and used that towards this purchase!
Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick (I had a sample of this, and I fell in love! so I'm going to try the full size)
Make Up For Ever 5 Pan Concealer/Corrector pallet #1 (I choose the yellower one, with the green concealer as I'm yellow toned with redness!)
NARS Sin Blush (I'v ALWAYS wanted this blush. Oh my goodness. It's a berry with a golden shimmer. Perfect for this time of year!)
BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Jam (I had a mini of this lipstick, and I wore it every day for a week until it broke. So I'm purchasing the full size!!)
Three perfume samples! I'm in LOVE with two of the perfumes/colognes, and the one I want to try!
3 Piece BUXOM Lip gloss/stick set (This was a throw in, But I do want to try the formula's and the shades are total shannon shades!)
Lastly!
BITE amuse Bouche lipstick mini in Licorice (I wanted to try this shade as well! So I figured why not!)
Urban Decay Naked Smokey Pallet (50% Off! I know this got mixed reviews, but I figured for half off I'll try it, and the shades in it are TOTAL Shannon shades as well!)
Benefit PoreFessional (Again I'm a face primer Hoe! So I'v been wanting to try this for a long time!!)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip gloss in Potion (I redeemed 100 points and got this mini as well!! I'v always wanted to try these lip glosses because of Christine from Temptalia. So I'm super excited!)
That's it for my haul!! I'm extremely happy with what I'v ordered and will be getting on Christmas day!

How I do my winged liner on severely hooded/monolided eyes!
I have severely hooded eyes, and my one eye has half of a monlid. So winged liner can be a bit of a challenge!!
I ALWAYS apply mascara first THEN do my eye liner. I find that makes it SO much easier!!
I don't show it in the video, but for my partial monolid, I tilt my face upward, and just go thicker under the flap of skin to make it visible!
Thank you for watching, and I hope this helps!

My Eyebrow routine!
I get asked about my brows a lot on my personal blog.
I have full, thick, dark brows naturally. So I just lightly fill them in to add colour back to them after doing foundation and powder!
I hope this video was helpful!!

Bare face/Acne update
If you've followed me, when I transferred over to this blog, you know all about my acne updates. But if you're new here,
I do acne updates every couple of weeks/every month.
From 13 to 16 I NEVER had acne. I always had clear skin. Then I turned 17, and BAM, I got severe, cystic acne.
It was all along my jaw lines, and where I would contour my cheeks. And it was so painful, I couldn't lay on my side to sleep at night.
So I talked to my family doctor, and went to a dermatologist and I was put on Tactupump Forte! Which is a powerful topical acne cream, and I was also put on antibiotics for a few months. Which 100% cleared up my skin.
Now, I'm just working on clearing up dark spots/acne scars. I am lucky that none of my cystic acne left ice pick scars. Just dark brown spots.
Every night I; wash my makeup off, wash my face, pat a liquid/chemical exfoliant onto my whole face, apply my tactupump forte all over my face, apply a pump of a hydrating serum, and then I pat on a facial oil!
And I can honestly say, my skin has never been better or healthier!!
This is my face just after washing. I have no makeup on at all!!
My cheeks are lighter than my forehead/chin, and I get redness in my cheeks, but that's really my only skin "woes" right now!!
Thank you for reading!!

My favourite Fall/Winter blushes!
I love a good berry, plummy, red blush in the fall/winter! But I get that naturally just stepping outside my front door, as we're in freezing cold Canada! So it's a balancing act trying to find blushes that mimic this look without being super over the top!!
I'm also super heavy handed with blush, so I need a blush that isn't so pigmented I shake in my boots looking at it!!
I like medium coverage, luminous and buildable!
These are my favourite fall/winter blushes, and highlights!
We have starting from the top left:
The Balms Mary Lou-Manizor (Champagne Highlight)
Physicians formula Argan wear Blush in Rose (Light berry)
Clinique Cheek Pop blush in Plum Pop (cool slightly plummy, pink)
Makeup Geek Blush in Soul Mate (Plummy pink)
Sephora brand Baked Luminizor in 01. (Yellow gold)
Starting from top left:
Smashbox Halo blush in Warm glow (Mauvey brown)
Physicians formula Argan wear Bronzer in Light bronze. (Golden shade. this is a highlight on me)
Annabelle Blush in 52 (Light Cranberry shade.)
MAC eye shadow in Cranberry (I hated this as a eye shadow, it was too sheer. So I multipurposed it!)
Clinique Cheek Pop in Cola Pop.
I think only two of these are Matte. And that's because I personally don't like matte blushes, I find them hard to spread out and blend and buff. So I tend to reach for Shimmery/highlighting blushes!!

Purple Smokey Eye FOTD
I'm going to visit my oral surgeon today to check up on my tumor. And because he'll be poking around my mouth I can't wear lipstick.
So I decided to go ham on my eyes!!!
This is the look i'm going with today!!
Base: I started off with Hard Candy green tinted primer on my cheeks and forehead, then MUFE Mattifying primer on my T zone. I then buffed MUFE Mat Velvet+ foundation all over my face. I then patted a pink tinted sheer concealer to brighten my under eye area. Then I patted Hard Candy Glamoflauge under my eyes. I took a fluffy brush and patted Rimmel Clear skin powder all over my skin. Then I buffed Sephora Brand Matte perfection powder foundation all over. Lastly I spritzed MUFE Mist and Fix all over to lock everything in!
Cheeks: I made a custom cheek colour today! I started with Makeup Geek Romance (Shimmery golden coral) and then I blended Makeup Geek Soulmate ontop! (Matte plummy pink) I lastly took The balms Mary Loumanizer, and I blended that along my cheek bones!!
Here's the difficult part.
Eyes: I started with patting in ELF sheer primer from lashline to brow bone. I then took Tarte Whisper (Matte cream shadow) and set the primer. I took a mauvey lilac shadow from a Sonia kashuk quad, and buffed that through the crease and up onto my hood. I patted Colourpop Stero (Black base with purple glitter) onto my mobile lids, then took Tarte BFF (Matte dark purple) and I blended that out into my crease and used that to blend out any harsh lines!! I wanted it to be super deep and dramatic so I took Coastal Scents Cherry Chocolate (Dark dark brown base with purple shimmer through out) and lightly LIGHTLY blended that trough my outer V. I added mascara to my upper lashes, then falsies, and buffed Tarte BFF on my lower lashline, then added mascara to my lower lashes.
Brows: I ran through my brows with Essence make me brow, and then took Annabelle brow to go dark powder on an angled brush and blended that through my brows adding colour, and sharpening the brow shape. I then re applied another coat of Essence make me brow!
Lips: Just Jack Black Lip balm in Mint!
I hope you all enjoyed this look!! I really like it!!
