Hello all!! I'm going to chat about something very near and dear to me today!!
Sunscreen! :-)
I'v worn at the least SPF30 sunscreen every single day, for the past 4 years. I never leave the house without it on my face, neck, and whatever is exposed (so my shoulders, back, forearms, and hands!)
I prefer a mineral sunscreen personally, and stay far away from chemical sunscreens!
This sunscreen comes in a pretty large 110ml squeeze bottle. The lid snaps shut nicely, but isn't impossible to open!
The texture of this sun screen is thick, and creamy! I'v found, it's not moisturizing enough for me to skip my morning moisturizer. But a super oily skin type may find that it's enough!
It has an off white/cream colour to it. And I find it doesn't create a stark white cast against my NC23 skintone!
Here is my face, after 2 and a half thick layers of this sunscreen patted/smoothed onto my skin. You can see the finish isn't too dewy, but it's not a powdery matte! It looks very natural!!
Overall? At $25 a tube, I would HIGHLY recommend this sunscreen! It didn't aggravate my acne prone skin AT ALL, and keeps me nice and protected against the harsh UVA and UVB rays!!

Morning Skin Care Routine - The Ordinary, Juice Beauty, Clinique
Hey all!!! How are you today?
I wanted to show y'all my new and updated skincare routine, but i'm breaking it up into two posts, one for morning and one for evening! And this one is for the morning routine!
My morning skin care is very simple!
I'll quickly sweep over my skin with The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toner. It removes the built up oil from sleeping, last nights skincare, and dead skin!
After my skin dries from the toner, I'll apply roughly 3 drops of The Ordinary's Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%. Which is a Vitamin C serum! I'll rub my palms together, then press the serum all over my face, neck and chest!
I make sure to fully let the serum dry, as while it's drying down it's slightly tacky. But once fully dry it's not tacky at all!!
I'll pump out two and a half pumps of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+. and pat that all over my face. Focusing it on my jaw line and cheeks, where my skin is driest from my acne medication. I love this lotion!! It softens my skin, and keeps it plump and hydrated, and does not break out my acne prone skin at all.
After my moisturizer has sunk into my skin, I'll squeeze out a quarter sized amount of Juice Beauty Sport SPF30 sunblock!! It's a mineral sunscreen, so it's thick. But it's slightly tinted, and if you rub it in well, it dries down very well. After that first dollop of sunblock has sunken in, i'll go back in with another quarter sized amount. Focusing this second amount on my jaw and cheeks where most of my acne is.
And that's it!! Next i'd go onto my makeup!

My Favorite Sunblocks!
Hello again friends!!
Today i'm going to talk to you all about SPF!
I am a strong believer in wearing SPF every day. I am from Southern Ontario, Canada. We got a LOT of snow, and slush. But I still wear SPF50 in the winter!
I am a mixed race person, who is very lucky that I do not burn in the sun. I just tan. I'v only been burnt a handful of times in my life. But the first time I burnt, It blistered, and it was AWFUL. I was 9 at the time. And I still remember that pain. SHUDDER.
Because of this experience, I learned very early that SPF was very important!!
In the last 5 months, i'v introduced 2% BHA into my skincare routine. I use this every night as my first step in my skincare routine (after cleansing and washing my face of course!) And as i'm sure you all know, you MUST use sunblock while using AHA's/BHA's!!
I'm ALSO on a very aggressive acne treatment gel. It's 2.5% BP, where the usual dose according to me dermatologist, is 1.5% to 2.0%. And the treatment gel, makes my skin more susceptible to burning, and sun damage!
So because of all of these factors, I wear SPF daily!
I'll get off my soapbox (for now!!!) and I'll show you my favourite sunblocks!
Paula's Choice Extra Care Non-greasy Sunblock SPF50 - My third favorite sunblock! this is a super runny, liquidy sunblock, that does sink into the skin super easily and quickly!! I like to do a layer of this, let it sink in, then do a second layer!! It doesn't ball up, or ever feel heavy!! I love this!
Coppertone Clearlysheer Face SPF50 - My holy grail SPF! This truly sinks into the skin in a snap. It leaves my skin with a satin finish. It feels like NOTHING on my oily skin. It keeps my skin balanced, and happy! I love this stuff so much and will always have it on hand!
Shiseido Sun Protection Cream Water Resistant SPF50 - This has the same formula as the other Shiseido sunblock, It's light, creamy and airy. It sinks into the skin so nicely, and leaves me fresh and ready to go with makeup! It has a light floral scent.
Peter Tomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Moisture Sunscreen SPF30 - This is the thickest out of all of the sunblocks! It comes out of the container as a thick cream. And it is moisturizing as claimed. But it's not SO moisturizing that my oily skin feels heavy and smothered! It has a basic sunscreen scent. This is the lowest i'll go SPF wise!
Shiseido Urban Environment UV protection cream SPF40 - This is my second favorite sunblock! It's a nice fluffy cream, that sinks into the skin in about 60 seconds. And leaves my skin feeling dry and not sticky or tacky!! It has a floral scent to it!
Neutragena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF60 - This used to be my holy grail SPF, I'd wear it every day under my makeup. But Now that I'v branched out. I realize how thick, and moisturizing this is. And with my oily skin, that's a no-no. But as a sunblock for my Dry, KP covered shoulders, and arms? HEAVENLY! This also has a basic sunblock scent!

Summer skincare routine
Hello friends!
I figured it was time for an updated skincare routine post for summer!
Morning:
First thing in the morning, I swipe some cleansing water all over my face to remove last nights skincare, and the buildup of oil.
I follow up with massaging a light, gel moisturizer into my skin. I'm currently using Avon Nutraeffects Hydragel-cream.
After the gel moisturizer has sunken in, I'll tap two layers of Clinique Repairwear Eye cream under my eyes.
After the eye cream has sunken in, I apply two layers of SPF. I'm currently switching between Coppertone Clearly Sheer Face SPF50, and Paula's Choice Extra Care Non Greasy SPF50.
Night:
At night I'll start by removing my makeup by massaging Ponds Cold Cream into my face and eye lids, then I take a clean, damp washcloth and remove my makeup.
In the summer, I like a foaming face wash. I like The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright and The Face Shops Herb Day Lemon Cleansing foams!
After I cleanse my face, I pat dry with a fluffy towel, and smooth and pat some Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid all over my face,
Once my face isn't tacky anymore from the BHA, I'll smooth some of my Tactupump Forte all over my face.
Once that has set, I'll pour out a dime sized amount of Bio Oil, and I'll pat that into my face.
Then I tap some Avon Ultimate Eye cream under my eyes!!
Masks:
In the summer I like a nice clay mask, and I'v been using Freeman's "deep cleaning. Manuka honey and tea tree" clay mask every 3 days!
I also use Origins Retexturizing Rose mask, once a week for a good exfoliation.
And I like to do Avon's Rose Hydrating mask after days at the beach, or when my skin is feeling a lil tight!
And that's it!! What do you change in your routine when the warm weather hits?
